System Update Notes

System Release July 2024

Feature Changes

  • Added a new function to allow attaching files to a user profile when User Registration function is enabled
  • Added hint text for the file upload function on the New User Registration page for the file size limit and supported file formats
  • Updated the group contact function that now a Group Manager or Administrator can be assigned to a group as the contact as long as they have access to that group, previously they can only be assigned as a contact to their default group.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the custom label for user fields on the vehicle profile page may disappear

Feature Changes

  • Added a new function to allow users to rebook the vehicle for a short period after a booking has been dropped off. See this article for more details.
  • A new setting has been introduced to allow users to automatically enable/disable "Forbid Auto Cancellation and Reallocation" when creating a new booking on the Booking Manager page. Maintenance bookings are not affected by this setting and will always have "Forbid Auto Cancellation and Reallocation" enabled by default.
  • Added Driver Charge Code column to Booking Report.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where updating the email address of a Single Sign-On user could result in their bookings not being visible on the Home and Booking Manager pages.
  • Resolved an issue where FBT nights were not being updated accurately when a booking was completed through GPS integration.
  • Resolved an issue where User Field 2 information for a vehicle was not visible on the Booking Manager page.

Feature Changes

  • Updated Fleetwise Logos on all pages to reflect branding changes.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the CSV export function on the Home page was not taking into account the applied filters.
  • Fixed an issue on the Home page where users may able to see Pickup and Dropoff buttons even when the Pickup and Dropoff function was disabled for them.
  • Fixed an issue on the Home page where users may able to see Pickup and Dropoff buttons for groups with Geofence integration enabled.

Scheduled Maintenance

We will be conducting a scheduled maintenance for all PVBS tenants on Tuesday, December 12th, from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM New Zealand Standard Time, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Australia Eastern Standard Time. Please note that there may be temporary disruptions to accessibility during this maintenance period.

The below feature changes and bug fixes will be released to the PVBS system during this maintenance.

Feature Changes

  • The integration between Fleetwise PVBS and Argus GPS Tracking has been reworked, to improve reliability and the capability of error handling.
  • You now have the option to configure the Drivers Licence Number, Expiry Date, and Version Number as required or optional. To access this setting, navigate to Administration > System Configuration > User > User Registration.
  • The welcome email sent to new users has been enhanced to include a direct link to the knowledge base. This link will provide users with easy access to a wealth of information and resources to help them get started and make the most of the system.
  • The booking notification emails have been enhanced to provide a clearer display of the vehicle information. This separate display helps to avoid any confusion by presenting the vehicle information separately from the booking and driver details.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where users with special characters in their usernames were experiencing authentication failures.

Feature Changes

  • Booking allocation options have been expanded. Bookings can now be assigned to vehicles based on Registration, Fleet Number, Year, or Odometer in either ascending or descending order.
  • A new feature has been introduced that allows for multiple bookings to be allocated to the same vehicle. 
  • A new 'Updates' button has been added to the User Interface, providing a convenient way for administrators and Group managers to access the System Update Notes. This button will clearly indicate when there is a new system update available, ensuring that users stay informed and up-to-date with the latest enhancements and bug fixes.

Bug Fixes

  • The issue where the preferred vehicle logic disregarded the vehicle filters has been resolved. Now, the vehicle filters such as vehicle type, accessories, etc., will be given priority over the user's preferred vehicle setting.
  • A bug that prevented users from editing bookings after they were picked up has been resolved.

Feature Changes

  • Added new configuration to separate Single Sign On log-in option from username and password option for SSO-enabled tenants. See this article for more information.

Bug Fixes

  • When moving a picked-up booking to a different vehicle, the pickup odo now reflects the current odo reading of the new vehicle correctly.
  • Fixed a bug on iCal attachment that the booking start and end time may be incorrect for time zones that is not New Zealand Standard Time.
  • 'Drop Off Late Limit' is now a required field on the Configuration page, Booking Rules tab.


System Release July 2023

Feature Changes

  • The Kiosk has been enhanced to display only the bookings that are awaiting pickup and dropoff, as well as the bookings that will begin on the current day.
  • The pickup odo logic has been improved to only generate the odometer reading when a booking is actually picked up. Previously, the pickup odo would default to the vehicle's current odo reading even for bookings that are scheduled in the far future.
  • The query behind the Home page has been optimized to improve the speed and efficiency of displaying bookings.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in the user bulk update function that was causing the "Externally Authenticated" field to mistakenly change to No.

Feature Changes

  • Added configurable hint text to the Username field. The hint text can be found at Administration > Configuration > User.
  • The Telephone field under user profile can be configured to be mandatory.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug with available to and from hours, now a vehicle with available hours from the afternoon to the following morning works correctly.

Feature Changes

  • Extended the Booking Reallocation Function. The system can now move bookings to a different vehicle if the booked vehicle has expired WOF/COF. See This Article for more details.
  • Updated the Change Vehicle option on Home page. This option can now be disabled, and users can only see this option during booking pickup time window when enabled. 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a time conversion error in GPS integration. Now the system can sync booking times to Argus platform correctly.
